Free Entertainment, Discovery & Adventure is on the agenda in Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. The village will be bursting at the seams for Culture Night 2011, with a diversity of events promised for all on Friday, 23 September, 2011, throughout the day and night.

The doors will be open to all at a variety of venues and you are invited to sample some wonderful performances.
TAG are kicking off with the sheep flock gathering on the Market Square.

The Tinahely Sheep Flock
We will be rounding up and bring the sheep together in the centre of the town, as a focal point for the cultural activities planned for the weekend.  The Sheep have been out and about on the roads, walks and public areas all summer and were featured on RTE’s “Nationwide”.

Story Bear – Puppet Show at 5.30pm.
Story Bear loves stories and helps puppeteer Niamh Lawlor tell and draw you one, if you promise to help! An intimate, interactive story-telling session suitable for a family audience (7 – 9 year olds the ideal age group) from award winning Puca Puppets.

TAG Art & Craft Exhibition at 7.00 pm
We will also open a Culture Night TAG Art Exhibition at the Riverside Business Centre, Tinahely at 7.00 PM with diverse pieces representing most members and hope to see you there.

Bronze Casting Demonstration at 8.oopm
A spectacular Bronze Casting Demonstration is organised by TAG on the lawn of The Courthouse Arts Centre, by sculptors Niall O’Neill and Padraig McGoran. It should be quite spectacular as the evening draws in.

GIG – Caroline Moreau at 9pm
French chanteuse Caroline Moreau performs at the Courthouse. Booking essential: www.tinahely-courthouse.ie

Barbershop on Dwyer Square: There will be a surprising art installation in the windows of the currently empty Barbershop on Dwyer Square for passers-by to enjoy.

AND there will be a surprise…  plus other cultural activities in and around the square.

The TAG Arts Fair is being held at The Farm Shop, Shillelagh Road, Tinahely from 11 – 5 on Sunday September 25th.
